getting up the mountain

is there only one gond up the mountain in Bansko? do you need it to get back to the village? or can you board down??

re: getting up the mountain

You can board down however it is fairly flat so you will need to maintain your speed. You often see plenty of riders unclipping and walking along - no worries as its a nice walk anyway. When do you go mate?

Depending on snow it is possible to board most the way down.

re: getting up the mountain

No not really. There are some good long runs and you just make of it what you have. Obviously its no Chamonix but then its a lot cheaper. The gond up isnt that bad. Just take the time to recover from the previous night hahahaha

re: getting up the mountain

The Gondola up the mountain is terrific.

The views are spectacular, with drops in places upto 1500ft.

The trip itself takes about 30 mins...Bring a camera!!

The road hoe for skiing is ideal, but I am not sure about Boarders. I know the road almost levels out for the last 800yards, and as the person above said....Maintain your speed around the last few bends!!
