Especially if you are not too confident riding flat - take it easy and remember to tuck in your wrists if you are falling

Battle, we take super cheap walking poles, like telescopic ski poles, hide them under the gondola and pick them up for the run home on ski road just in case you need to push along any flat places, if the snow is fast like 2007 we didn't need them to get right back to the hotel by gondola, it's a great last run of the day. Occasionally skiers are kind enough to offer a tow with one of their ski poles.
