You will be relieved to hear that the Tupolev T154M (of which Balkan Holidays Air has 5 in addition to a couple of Airbuses) has TEN emergency exits, even a 747 only has 14. But I have to point out that these aircraft are anything but slow, and cruise at 950 km/h (or so we were told onboard). We were half an hour quicker in BOTH directions than we were supposed to be.

I am 6'4" and was crippled on a First Choice 757 and Airbus last year. I have to say that Balkans Tupolevs are not much more comfortable, but they were certainly no worse.
And as for the inflight food, you better get used to it, because it is good preaparation for Bulgarian cuisine!
Hey folks, f..k o.f the most of the balkan flights are TU 154, and it is better to fly with them as with some of the 737 the other air companies use. The stewardess are not every time the youngest but real okay, in the last years I got a big collection of fresh newspapers german and bulgarian on every filght, a part of the meals was hot, and never need any other entertainment for 1,5 hour in the air as a newspaper and some eating.
The type of TU is 30 or more year old the planes 5 to 7 ...

The type of TU is 30 or more year old the planes 5 to 7 years well checked. And now have a look for the crashing rates from 737 to 154 and these in western standart countries not in Sibiria....
