helmet camera?

Now seen plenty go pro type films showing skiing etc- my sons just asked for a camera for his ski helmet 9yet something else for xmas at short notice!)- any you guys got any advice on what I should be buying - looked at Argos- plenty there but don't know if I would be picking the right one!
Advice appreciated!

Hello mate have you looked at the 4Gee action camera? It's perfect for skiing and all action sports alike. Comes with skeleton mount and a water proof mount and case. Plus you can live stream to mobile phones or the led watch that is like a controller with a small screen!! Plus if you don't want to pay out a large amount of money, you can buy them on 24month plan which costs about £17pm... Hope this helps!

Personally I would of gone for a GoPro, as a lot more options on models, accessories and things, plus resale value also.
But it's a personal choice etc

Avoid helmet cameras. It's what caused the injuries to Schumacher

I think you will find , it was the rock/s that pierced his helmet that did the damage, all mounts I have seen / used would of broken off in his situation .

thanks- did actually end up with a pricey go pro! but he can use this in his fireworks shows, as does professional shows with our team, and does BMX extreme tricks with his mates!-so thanks again!

I think you will find that it was the camera mount that caused the injury to his brain. It is a well documented fact if you wish to check hence why myself and other off piste skiers have stopped using them. His accident definately changed how I approach off piste skiing
