Think Bansko will definatly be finished by 16th. Pity seeing as by the sound of it, there is still plenty of snow!

Exc. snowconditions now. Will stay like this untill Sunday,
than it will start to get real warm.
This will be killing for the lower slopes. The higher slopes have so much snow, that will last some time.
Wish I was there now !

It's so typical that places are planning on closing when they are getting some of the best snow of the season! Going next weekend so hopefully there will still be plenty. Was told the season may extend just past Easter now thanks to the snow, but not all lifts are open due to lack of tourists...hope we can still get to the top!!!

Bansko officially announced that ski season will last till 30.04.2009
Also there is a discount of 20% for all types of ski passes from 01.04.2009.

I like the cut of your jib Holmes... Yes, officially to the end of the month (but when did that mean anything), and the pass reduction was posted on their website at the start of the season, Ex. 40lv for a day pass Very Happy

It is forecast to get warmer with rain, the lower slopes were even getting heavy today, but there is soooooo much snow up top, don't see any problems for April.
Burton comp today in the snow park, anyone coming out in the next few days will be able to kill themselves on ...

Burton comp today in the snow park, anyone coming out in the next few days will be able to kill themselves on some massive jumps that will be left after the comp, or you could just ski/board over them slowly and dream Cool
Off-piste still skiable but heavy, better in the trees where it ranges from 40 - 60cm, getting tracked out but still good. On piste is exceptional, billiard table smooth with enough soft surface to carve easily, not a lot of people so blasting is the order of the day Very Happy (get to the off-piste quicker) I got fed up today and came down early, you can have to much of a good thing, where are the rocks and slush ?? you know, real skiing in late March Razz

Steve, the sooner it gets tracked out the better eh, too bad you have to stay on the mountain all day just cus the sun isn't melting to slush and bummer there aren't any puddles and rocks to moan about, doesn't sound like mid March Bansko to me, you will have to find a more shoddy resort to complain about Wink

Not envious at all Cool
