re: how much?

Theres so many variables.

Start with a base of £150
If you drink out of hotels clubs add 100 at least
most new skiers will nearly always buy accessories.( googles, hats, gloves, jackets) add £40
Clothes are also an option for some Add £50-100
Some young men have been rumoured to explore the local culture. Wink This is very much a variable dependent upon the appetite for the aforementioned culture.

How longs a piece of string. Also depends upon your budget, what you are prepared ...

re: how much?

Nationwide bank does not charge for withdrawal abroad. Just by chance this has been my bank for many years and did not realise until a couple of years ago that they one of the only ones that does not charge Razz Razz Razz

re: how much?

All below £500 per person per week means you will simply miss your holiday. You need around £80 per day for food, drinks and pubs, besides this year the prices are up again. You can go with £50 per day too, but with several limitations, and below £30 per day means you are shopping at the local food store and cooking at your hotel room Sad
Not to be rude, but when you are going to one of the most expensive resorts in Europe, should you count your coins?

re: how much?

It ain't that expensive over there... most hotels are half board and we personally like bulgarian cuisine. Eat out probably 3 times in the week for evening meal and every lunch. Like mentioned earlier only drink 1-2 a night and £200 should be more than enough

re: how much?

Rach, I was not able to manage with £200 last year for my week of skiing there Sad My total expenses I had on my vacation was roughly £400, regardless that I tried to avoid the expensive pubs and bars Sad
You should have at least the same amount £400 prepared foir spending, but I doubt it should be enough for a good holiday this year.

re: how much?

we spent £800 in a week (for 2 of us). For this we:

paid for return transfer from Sofia to Bansko
bought lift passes x2
hired skis/sticks/boots x2
had lunch on mountain every day (inc several drink stops)
went to happy end every day for a few cheeky drinks
ate out in a mehana every night
drank till 2am most nights
bought groceries
played pool/went bowling etc
payed 50 EUROS at sofia airport as my case was too heavy!

happy days - i love the place (given that earlier that year ...

re: how much?

The other factor to consider when comparing to last year is that we now get 20% less Leva to the pound (so in effect, along with BG inflation running at 12%) in theory everything is 30% more expensive than last year
