things seem to be getting worse, the thing to do apparently is when going for lunch etc, leave your one of your skis with one of your parties, odd skis not much good to anyone, have heard there was a few stolen on the slopes last year.

friend of mine had his board robbed a couple years back, it happens in every resort in every country. Bulgaria aint gonna be any worse or any better than the next place.

unfortunately all pockets of this world have thieves lurking, like the airlines charging for ski carriage!

Bansko last year seemed to be the worst hit according to this site, many people did as fay said and mixed their ski's up with different size shoe bindings obvioulsly Very Happy I have been lucky enough for it to never happen to me or anyone in my party - on an insurance note make sure if anything gets stolen you get a police report - without it your insurance are very unlikely to cough up... hopefully that word of advice will not be necessary

Our ski guide said this was a problem last year and we ate at a quiet place on a blue slope and he made shure all skis were in sight of the windows

Come on guys, I cant belive this is a serious problem.

How stupid do you have to be to get your stuff nicked???

If you left something in your front garden a home, or left some shopping on the back sea of your car.... would you expect it to be there when you get back the next day?
Crime is shocking in the uk ? I had my golf clubs nicked the other day from my car
I live in a nice area, ( no I am not the next James), it is simply nice, and i never give thieves the opportunity anymore ...

It is quite obvious that if you give these scum the chance they will rob you, so dont................
Where ever you go in the world there are idiots who will pray on the unsuspecting. Apply the common sence you would over here and I am sure you will be safe.

Ps never been skiing in Bulgaria apart from once 16 years ago, so I am not qualified to preach, but it is obvious. Dont give the thieves the opportunity. Exclamation Exclamation

if you leave the back of your car in the sea of course things will go missing Razz think you meant seat, prob is you have to leave your stuff outside the resturants so are quiet a target. skis arnt the easiest thing to lock either just have to hope for the best I am affraid and try and sit where you can see them.
