Thanks for the advice.....have to say I never noticed the thin walls last year. Either the mountain air or all that alcohol had me sleeping like a baby lol. Tend to eat early anyway as my son is permanently starving or so it seems. Do they still lay on hot food when you arrive. We arrived at gone midnight last year but there was food waiting which pleased the litlle food monster.
As we arrived at 5am (nightmare journey in but thats another story), we had ham and cheese butties already made up and a couple of oranges in a bag and a bottle of water waiting for us, which was a nice touch.
We ate these as breakie as we needed that extra half hour in bed!! welcome meeting was at 8.45am! we made it tho just!
The mini bar fridge which had red bull in it was a big help!
Am hearing lots of reports of nightmare journeys in and out and getting a bit worried as I am travelling with my young son ....not sure he will be the happiest chappie and I hate the thought of having to transfer to Sofia. Sounds like the Orlovetz is still looking after the guests though which is good. Know what you mean about the welcome meeting its hard that first day.
We flew with Crystal and they were spot on at the airport, very very organised and looked after us all the way (apart from the little blip on the bus) so I wouldn't worry.
Unfortuantely the airport is renowned for fog so they are well trained in shipping people to Sofia. Just make sure you take plenty of food with you when you set off!
Am flying with Thomson who are also normally great.never had any probs with the airports or flights in the last 3 trips hopefully will be lucky this time too. Will def remember to take some snacks though thanks for the tip.
Arrived back this morning, bit of a nightmare flight in and out (flight had to fly back to Doncaster after take off due to technical problem) but all worked out good and had a fab time, didn't see any trouble, never have in last 4 years.
Snow was great all week but I think more snow would be needed if the sun keeps up, Looked like the snow cannons were being used to top up the slopes so still plenty of snow when we left.

Transferred to Sofia due to fog on way back, slept on the way and more or less got straight onto flight when arrived so wasn't to bad. Sofia Airport is really nice.
Don't be put off if you're going soon, it's a great resort, we had two people in our group who didn't stop moaning all week, but I think it made them happy There's always one (or two) that don't know how to relax and have a good time. It takes all sorts I suppose.
