What is the best deal on levs. cheers

Well how long is a piece of string? Exchange rates change daily so a good deal one week with say the post office might be rubbish the next.

You normally get a slightly better deal in resort but really you are only talking a difference of a few pence no matter who you change with unless you are dealing in the 1000s why worry?

Danny boy... the differance can be as much as 15% over what you would get in the UK and what you get here in resort. Example is the current rate given to some punters i have just bought in, 1.96 lv-£ in UK, 2.19 lv-£ here. Still pennies i'll accept... but `many a mickle makes a mackle'

So prob best to change a bit to take out and change the rest there then?

Are there plenty of cash machines in case we run out, or do places take credit card? I heard somewhere that not many places do. Thanks

Do not rely on credit cards Ryan they are not readily accepted. Yes you will get a better rate in resort I normally change in the Srazhite Hotel slap bang in resort centre.

In the week go to Alpha Bank just off the main square, deffo the best rate in town, just take your passport, and they will change all denominations, £5, £10, £20 etc

Is the Alpha Bank the same as the Greek one (must be - can't see there being another with the same name!) so can I use my alphabank card in the hole in the wall - that would help a lot.

We went to pamps in jan, took our nationwide card and used the cash machine outside perelik hotel,got good rates.

Thanks Jayne.....what was the snow like in Jan, we are off on boxing day til the 2nd, worried about the snow since I found this site!
