From Glasgow, I'd go M61 and M60 - no problems and much quicker on a Saturday morning. That's the way I'm going - the M56 is the long way round!!

roadworks on M60 wont slow you down too much. 4hrs with a 1/2hr stop.

I'll be just getting a taxi for a tenner at about 12 O'clock on Saturday Booze

what about a cheap flight down from glasgow?
