re: melting snow !

tim, you are a tool

alot of us have worked hard so we can go on holiday and go sking/boarding. for some (like myself) it is a first trip too, so naturally when you hear about rising temps and snow melting you panic. stop being an obnozious fool, get your head out your arse and be reasonable. no one is asking anything stupid.

Kraig a little bit of common sense on behalf of some people would go a long way. It is not like the UK where we have 1cm of snow and the sun comes out and melts it. All resorts have over a metre of the stuff and the tempatures you are all worrying about are at RESORT level. RELAX Booze

re: melting snow !

Im going out Feb 23rd me worried I like to ski all over the resort not just up the top and not just on the same 4 or 5 runs all day all week doh.

The snow and temps in Borovets were awesome and low 2 weeks ago and now its turned tropical such a pain in the ass!

re: melting snow !

i know what youre saying but as i said, alot of us are ski holiday virgins. i was overly aggressive in my last post and i apologies but i can sympathise with alot of people and how they are feeling. for those who are heading out in a few days its not so bad but i have over 2 weeks still and with the temperatures seeming to be constantly rising it does worry me. Tim, im sorry for calling you a tool but a bit of sympathy would be appreciated, rather than saying to 'get a life'. hardly helpful.

re: melting snow !

pistes were cracking today. Ok, there will be a bit of pressure on them with the high temperatures this weekend, but normal service should be resumed next week. We hope for another dump before the end of the season, but if not, the tops of the mountains will probably render good service (said that to a girl once, she wasn't impressed) until the end of the season. This is all pretty normal.

Last yr we didn't a get any snow fall for the whole week, by sat when we left felt sorry for people arriving on 2nd march, no snow at the village (talking of boro) just mud and slush, my sis n dad tired to do a late run on fri eve at the top but snow was melting fast from half way down.
