just had a text from my sister (in borovets at moment), she says the snow is melting fast. I'm arriving 2 march, first time skiing, will there be any snow left !re: melting snow !

We went last March and when we arrived there was hardly any snow in the town at all. There was loads at the top of the gondola though and it just got a bit patchy near the bottom. There was a big snow dump halfway though the week which cured everything.Plenty of time yet for some fresh snowfall in March

Yes all the snow will have melted by the end of next week you will be skiing on grass. I really do not know why they call them ski resorts really I mean it does not stay below freezing everyday nor does it snow every day and guess what? Geez the sun even comes out occasionally and gets a tad warm and melts over a metre of snow in hours!!!
Get real people the temps you are looking at are normally resort temps and not the true tempature up on the mountain. Yes some of the snow is melting ...

Get real people the temps you are looking at are normally resort temps and not the true tempature up on the mountain. Yes some of the snow is melting but this is perfectly normal over a season by the end of next week we could have bucket loads of snow again. THE SEASON IS NOT FINISHING.
