I understand the bank exchange rate is currently around BGN2.90 to GBP1.00 but it is understandable that the exchange place will take a short cut.

I am sure we will get a good rate in Bansko and a even better rate on great value Bulgaria red wine.... if Blue Rridge is anything to go by, sure will be enjoying a bottle of Bulgaria wine or two... or three....

Hi there

We took clean sterling notes and changed at the Hotel in Pamps, there is no problem changing money.
