never skied in bulgaria

hi. going ski-ing with the family in february. Usually go to Italy/France but thinking of trying Bulgaria. Any views anyone

The best views are from the top. Seriously I haven't seen Italy / france so can't comment. Bansko would be the most challenging.

I have been before- and personally would not reccomened bulgaria.I personally prefer Switzerland as both the hotels and the food are of a better quality.Also, the pistes are generally better groomed etc..
Give Switzerland a go.

where did you go James ? The food in Bansko town is some of the best i have ever eaten. Only my opinion as a fussy git.

How much spending money would you recommend for Switzerland ?

How about Borovets? We have a wide range of standards, including kids with about 2/3 weeks ski-ing behind them. Still think Banko is best?

We went to grindlwald in a lovely luxury chalet with a personal outdoor jacuzzi.
Spending money ,i cannot remeber sorry, we seemed to live acceptably on around £100 a day ( for 2 of us)

now if you are telling me that the hotels in Switzerland are betterquality than this hotel I will eat my ski boots.

I know that I could live acceptably in Bansko for alot less than I could in Switzerland.

You cannot compare the quality of life in bulgaria to good old switerland.Dont shoot the messenger- I am just saying that overal switzerland has a higher quality of life/better infacstructure than that of Bulgaria.My wife and I love Swizterland, for both its beauty and the luxuriuos private chalets.
