I used one of the bars mentioned in here, we ate several times in there (good food) I mentioned to the waiter that I used to be a chef in my younger life after praising the meal we had just eaten the waiter took me down to see the chef to deliver the complement first hand as we walked in the Chef was smoking chatting with his friend – we spoke about the meal he was delighted that I had made the effort to say thank you - and in a 70’s sitcom way he stirred a pot and tossed some meat with the ...
I used one of the bars mentioned in here, we ate several times in there (good food) I mentioned to the waiter that I used to be a chef in my younger life after praising the meal we had just eaten the waiter took me down to see the chef to deliver the complement first hand as we walked in the Chef was smoking chatting with his friend – we spoke about the meal he was delighted that I had made the effort to say thank you - and in a 70’s sitcom way he stirred a pot and tossed some meat with the cigarette in the corner of his mouth! I don’t smoke but am not really bothered either way – But kids should be protected unfortunately it really is a lifestyle choice in BG they all smoke and don’t really see anything wrong with it.

I just love it when smokers get on their high horse and talk about human rights and freedom of choice. re: none smoking bars in boro
there is talk of a full smoking ban (in public places) in BG from June but most people think it is 50/50 on whether it will be implemented effectively or not

I can vouch for BJ's. Lovely nice clean fresh modern bar with great staff. Non smoking meant that it was usually full of Brits! Good food too.Pete

Me and the wife came back from boro on 26th dec, had a great time - can defo recommend BJs. Lovely new bar, super manager (have a chat with him, he is very interesting) and good staff - food good too!! There are several non smoking bars, just nee to keep you eyes pealed!!
