It snowed last night in pamps and the lower temps meant the cannons were on, so the pistes were better covered this morning. Today the conditions were hard first thing, and softened up later. The open pistes remain the same, although the final part of the green to Malina is looking brown !
Just returned today (Sunday) after stopover in Vienna last night. Conditions not good but resort staff are doing a brilliant job of keeping pistes open given the lack of snow. As said in previous post the last bit of the green to Malina was almost grass! Also the start of the green was quite bare in places. The blues red and blacks which are open were also getting soft in the afternoons due to the high temperatures. When we left Saturday lunchtime it was raining but they were hoping for ...

The blues red and blacks which are open were also getting soft in the afternoons due to the high temperatures. When we left Saturday lunchtime it was raining but they were hoping for some snow and temp was dropping. Really hope they have some more snow soon. Hope you do have a good holiday too - they will do the best they can with what they have.
its been rather warm to say the least however they have done an amazing job of keeping the pistes in pretty good condition. The advice is to get the first lift up and the first few runs are fine. It starts to get rather soft and slushy from lunchtime onwards but people are skiing all day and enjoying their holiday. Keeping fingers crossed for snow soon though.
If we had been there 5 years ago we wouldn't have skied at all. As Snow White says they have done a fantastic job developing and managing the resort over the last few years.
Any runs without cannons were green, the rest were fantastic given how warm it has been recently. They have had hardly any proper snow, virtually all from cannons, and it is strange really to think that now they don't actually need any proper snow to get the resort functioning, just a ...
Thanks god for snow cannons!

They have had hardly any proper snow, virtually all from cannons, and it is strange really to think that now they don't actually need any proper snow to get the resort functioning, just a sustained period of cold weather to build the base.
New lift is up and running, and locals remain convinced that the link to Chepelare will happen in the next 2 years.
All in all Pamporovo is developing well and it is sad to see the lack of support from the tour companies - there were only 2 flights yesterday (no tour operators) out of Plovdiv (BGs 2nd city)!
Still - it means there is always plenty of room on the slopes!
Thanks for all the updates - Joff's right, 5 years ago I was the resort managements biggest critic but in these conditions and still to have runs is amazing.
