re:pamps conditions

Hi Jo who started the discussion well the snow is disappearing fast rained most of last night snowed at top this morning but not for long we have skied everyday since Tuesday but given up about 12.30 and hit bars instead as it's like skiing through custard but they manage to groom it so up early to ski the blue green to marina is very brown and thin I in places grass coming through but will try again tomorrow

Thanks for the update Jo. Hopefully at night they can get cannons on as the forecast is showing zero, having said that do cannons work at 0 or does it have to be below.

re:pamps conditions

I've just got back to the chalet after a day on the slopes and have to say hats off the piste management team. By the laws of nature the resort should be closed - but I'd estimate 65% of the runs are open and not bad at all. Yes by 1pm it's mush in places but then I head down the red that brings you out by the 3 man.

Looking forward to getting up there tomorrow early doors.

Helen - missed you at the ride spot by minutes today, I'll try and get there early tomorrow Smile

Yes the reds are better but if you can't ski reds or blacks bring wellies not ski boots it's hard work to say the least and dangerous many broken limbs ask the lady at petes bar her son fell fate to conditions yes they are doing a great job but no cannons on at night we leave today let's hope the predicted snow falls this week just for the locals who are loosing custom I for one will book last minute when seen conditions never in advance again

re:pamps conditions

Back home now and must say I've never seen Pamporovo like this. I still managed to board OK but you need to keep an eye out for slush or early doors ice - had a nice slide on my butt down the wall Monday Smile

Hopefully the predicted snow will give it a boost - and hopefully it drops to < -2* so the cannons kicked in.

Helen - great to see you both and sorry I missed you again - time keepings not a strong point.

re:pamps conditions

Am booked to head out next Friday for a long weekend but think I might take a hit on the cost and head elsewhere. The 20cm of snow that was forecast for today (this time yesterday) hasn't materialised and Friday looks like it's going the same way. Next week appears to be going warmer again before a potential cool down next Friday. Too little too late for me. Real shame as I love Pamps but ultimately I want a ski holiday.
