price displays

Hi all

just wondering if they display in the shops/bars what you have to pay in levs and euros? or is it just in levs and you have to work it out for yourselves never been to a country where you can use 2 currencies so not to sure what to do ( get levs or euros) Confused

re: price displays

Why would you or they want to use Euros? It's not their currency nor will it be for 3 years yet. Prices are in levs as that IS their national currency.

re: price displays

People only tend to purchase larger items such as property in Euros. This then allows them to send to an off shore bank to avoid taxation

re: price displays

YOU CANT PAY IN EUROS

Only as Arron says above for property and car hire.

All restaurants, shops, bars, use Levs. They also don't tend to take credit cards.

re: price displays

Sorry Nicky you can pay in in Euros for everything. Prices on menus are normally in Euros and Levs. I always take Levs, just easier.

re: price displays

Yes the cash machines are fine, But you would be better off taking sterling and change it there as you go, Get a better rate that way. Just dont take notes that are ripped or marked.
