In Bansko, you snooze; you lose! At 08.15, the weather is better, there are no queues and you can enjoy a leisurely trip in the gondola, in time for the lifts to open at the other end.
Create fresh tracks in bashed snow. Explore quiet terrain, includig sedate tripsdown the ski road ( entirely on your own sometimes), leading to the steep red, from the middle gondola station.
Stay in bed and you miss the best of the day but then that's what a lot of whingers in this forum do!

Agree with David, i've had worse in Chamonix, and many years ago in Verbier. I rather like the caption "you snooze you lose"... but not everyone has been snoozing when they stroll to the gondola at 11
Been several times - Easter, Half term and Christmas.
Last year at Easter was the best - previously we had always been up early -but still there were big queues by 8.30.
Then once you get up to the top it is quiet at first but then the queues start again for the other lifts.
Bansko is a great place to go and I am thinking about it again this year but I can\\\'t face the nightmare of half term again so may look elsewhere.
If i could take a relaxed view about it I woud be okay but ...

If i could take a relaxed view about it I woud be okay but when the ski clock is ticking everyone gets inpatient...
You are right, Blueski
When your 'ski clock' is ticking during your holiday, the least thing you want to do is to be queueing here and there knowing there is show to be tracked and hammered.
even worse at the bottom station with no snow on the ground just pavement and higher temperatures.
