The Grande Monastry use a very good transfer company Paul.Its the same one i use for my place in Momchilovtsi nearby . The director's name is Jordan and he speaks very good English and bends over backwards to help you .He has the most competitive rates in the area too.www.psl-bg.com

Go and see Petar at the Markony / White Dog down at Ski Station 2. He runs Interski and is a top bloke at reasonable prices!!!Nothing better than a local guide on the mountain!!

PowderseekingphilJordan is from Smolyan so is very much a "local" and definitely knows his mountain(s). He is also available for shopping trips or, if you fancy a change from the resort restaurants and bars, visit a restaurant in Smolyan for a typical Bulgarian meal.

Hey AndieWould totally agree - Smolyan is a great place to go for shopping and a meal out. We go down there regular when back home and love the place and the people!! Particularly like the grocer shopes at the top of the town!!!
I ment Petar is a great Ski Instructor in the know in Pamps.
We use a car and drive everywhere when there so have no need for a transfer etc. Stoykite is great for a trip out too for anyone reading this!!!

you can hire a car also in Smolyan for 30 lev per day
when using private local drivers please check that they have the correct insurance to do transfers as most only have regular insurance with no public liability. re: news Pamporovo
Olive, you are right. It is so important to check these out. Jordan also has the required public liability certificate/insurance etc and child car seats and boosters etcre: news Pamporovo
I apologise, I really was not accusing any driver in particular, but we do have to be careful, I am sure that Jordan is fine, i have never heard other wise. Due diligence can save heartache later.

I've used both Pete from Interski and also Jordan for transfers and car hire - can thoroughly recommend both! We have 3 kids and wouldn't take any risks with them. We had safe vehicles with correctly fitted car seats (my hubby is obsessive about safety) and faultless service.re: news Pamporovo

Thank you for your replies - very much appreciated. I have booked Jordan for our transfer but I could not find a website Petar or Pete. I have been quoted from Bulgaria Ski for a full ski package - does Petar work for them? I have been told to book before coming out to Pamp for the Ski lift and we are wanting a full ski package to include hire and tuition so does anyone know of a good school/contact that I can get in touch with? Have I been told right - to book before we get out ...

Had lessons with them twice and came on in leaps and bounds, great bloke, great service cannot recommend them enough, its worth paying the little extra!
