It does make you feel guilty for hoping for a lot of snow over a short space of time

re: respect the mountain!avalanche!!

Yeah im a bit into that staff......so i can say a Few word....Avalanches are Folling on the higher places in the mountain.....Just like the Avalance Slope(Close to the Moussala Hut) its very well Known in the area....so whats tipical;

1.The slope must be quit steep

2.Every avalanche have an ege,thats mean(imagine) the top of the slope is a flat pitch, and than,drop the very deep valley down....so on the boarder between that pitches is the ege(dont board or ski around the ege)

and
3.there mast be a mass of snow.

So Imagine the the mass of snow is very Heavy and you are boardig or skiing around the ege of the Avalange area,so then that mass of snow needs a bit of hellp to start running
Also if the pitch on that steep part of the Avalanche is Icy,so than is sleepary and easy to be evoke or just drop on its own.
Yeah Basikly thats it.
RESPECT THE MOUNTIN and dont go on a dangerous looking places,wheres no one on it

Dont rely on RECCO systems.BG is not using them at the moment.I think>correct me if I am wrong.
All this Idea of -lets go OFF PISTE SKIING creates the dangers to everyone.Most of the holidaymakers are not experience enough to venture somewhere far remote and dangerous where one mistake and you are out for pretty much good.Shouting for help does not help when the wind is at a massive speed and going the whong direction,visually it is difficult to so see for anything moving and in trouble ...
