the food is may be okay and tourist made, go to Samokov, some great restaurants all in all the best for me is the Stara kashta - the old house, perfect concept good food, great menu, for me one or the best I ever seen and tried in Bulgaria. even some more good simple but great food good style east-west, tschanovetje, f.e.
