just got back on sunday 27/01 stayed at murgavets ,nice hotel well situated,ski instructor great(EVO),snow not great but ok,lovely scenery,met lots of nice people,now the whinging ,was in pamps ,march 05,beer 1 to 1.5 lev,pizza 2.5 to 4 lev, hot chocolate 2 lev with brandy 3 lev etc etc,last week,beer 7 to 8 lev every place we went ,hot choc 6 lev plus if you want hot choc with brandy you have to buy it separately extra 5 lev,these are just a few examples of the price hikes ,i loved pamps in ...

we were in Pamps at christmas and the prices were nowhere near what you are quoting now. Beer was 6 lev in the white hart, hot choccie 3 lev on the slopes and a kebab with chips was only 5 levre: rip off pamps

they saw us all coming last week... prices have certainly shot up, I have never seen a taxi meter wizz round at such a pace... 22 lev from ski depot to murgavets????? luckily I agreed a price of 15 lev before I got in, but I had to dispute the fair of 22 still at the end... until he accepted the 15 lev originally agreed...re: rip off pamps
we got a taxi from murgavets to ski depot 2 he asked for 25 lev and finally agreed 16 lev for the 3 minute trip, its a crying shame for the honest hard working bulgarians whose wages are virtually the same since we were there last in 2005.one more thing did you notice the store detectives in the alaska supermarket ,one on the corner of every aisle, really got up my nosere: rip off pamps
I think I went to a different resort!Didnt pay more than 5 lev for a beer anywhere. Negotiated taxi back to Forest Nook on Friday night at 11.30 (10/15 mins drive) for 25 levs.
I agree that prices have gone up but didnt pay anywhere near the prices quoted above.

I was in Pamps two weeks ago and payed no where near those prices. I was paying on average 4 lev for a beer, sometimes less.

Going in Feb and if this is the case, albeit I expect a bit of inflation then I have to say I wont be returning. I have already experienced the taxi extortion last year. If they try to bleed us dry I will be skiing in France next year, were I can expect decent snow but know I am going to pay for it.re: rip off pamps
be careful of the ice skating rink - we took my friends daughter who is a size 13 normally, however once she got on the ice found they were too big, took them back for size smaller within minutes and was told the smallest they do is size 13 and would not refund the money we paid, to be honest my friend would normally insist and get the money back, but after a hard day up the mountain did not have the inclination to dispute it... 
on the taxi front we got a taxi back from Smolyn one ...
