There last week also, never paid more than 5 lev for a beer. Average was about 4. All in all spending money didnt stretch as far this year but I did go out a bit more.
Prices hav deffianely gone up. I was there last week, I did not go into Pamporovo as I was staying in Chepelare but the prices on the mountain have gone up loads from last year. Pizza in some places was 12 - 15 levs. It never used to be that much. However I thought taxis last year were a lot more than this year. But last year they had a massive increase and no one was really using them, perhaps they learnt.
here now, soup on the mountain 5 leva, buns 1lev, water 3leva. Pizzas on mountain were about 14 leva, no way we were going to pay that!
They tried to charge us 1 lev for the toilet in the place we ate today but we all refused as had paid to eat there... now that's a rip off! Fair enough if you're just nipping in but not when you're paying that much to eat!
They were trying to charge 1 lev for toilet in one place last year. Nobody paid while we were there - and there wasn't much they could do about it. I don't mind paying my share, but that's taking the p !
