went to snow and rock yesterday to get little scooby a helmet was reading an article in one of the mags there that 78% of head accidents could of been avoided if all snowsports people wore a helmet of that figure 52% accured on a blue or red runwandering how many going to bulgaria will have a helmet on i know three that will have

After managing to cut my head open with the edge of my own board last year in Meribel I went straight to the shops at the bottom of the run and bought a helmet. Wouldnt be without it now. Keeps your head a lot warmer as well!!Neil

I agree,This will be my second year with a helmet instead of a hat. At least when you do take even the smallest of tumbles the helmet stays on your head. Also goggles don't pull the helmet off. Leaves you to enjoy the snowboarding and not worry about the clothing!

it hink about 80% of accidents on the slopes are caused by boarders
they are bloody mad and i wish i had the guts to try it,
but iam 47 years old and still falling off my skateboard,whereas i can manage my blades no bother.does anyone else find this ?ie

I would disagree, in some place (Don't know about Bulgaria) there is a ski snobbery. When I was trying to learn they would find it funny to purposly clip your board laugh and shout abuse, when coming from behind. Was warned this would happen by the instructor. Was the same people often as well!!!!!!!
Put it this way the instructor taught us a trick for when they did it which soon made sure they didn't try it. Why would anyone boarder, or skier for that matter, have to go to these ...

As a skiier, I personally prefer not to wear a helmet - especially a shared one...I know that there is a lot of animosity between the boarders and skiiers and really we need to stop it all - I was at snozone on Monday night and couldn't believe how the ski instructor kept dissing the snowboarders - it's quite rude really.
Boarders are entitled to have their bit of fun too you know.
