I have just recieved a phone call from ************ and an email stating that *** will not complete the Silver Mountain Complex. Protocol 16/Act/16 and the final Certificate of entering into exploitation of the building will not be granted.
I have already paid for the property in full and the title deeds are signed.
Is anyone else in the same sittuation as me?
Can anyone give me some valuable and needed advise on what to do next?

Legal Independence, who I do not trust any longer are saying that I need to sue MRI but I am unsure as weather to use them and wonder if they are just warming up an avenue to bleed more funds out of me.
I feel for all those who are in this situation. You have paid money in good faith, wether for investment or for second home should not be relevant. As Bulgaria is part of EU maybee you can use a uk solicitor to try to help.
There are also people at home who have lost out after buying off plan.
If the developer has gone bust, who now owns the part finished development, would it be the banks?.
I wish all those trapped in this the best of luck.

I would imagine the only safe way to purchase is on a completed development or in the second hand market, or is this quite risky in bulgaria too.
i have bought and paid for an apartment and furniture pack at silver mountain and like everyone else i cannot get any details. MRI have gone into liquidation and the only one trading is in America. i have been in touch with a highly recommended lawyer in Sofia and the only way to get article 16 is as a whole . All the owners have to get together and apply themselves. Legal Independance worked with MRI, so i dont trust them They sent me an e-mail and said it would cost 6000 euros and 2 days ...

Legal Independance worked with MRI, so i dont trust them They sent me an e-mail and said it would cost 6000 euros and 2 days later it came down to 3000 euros to get art 16 but that was in a phone call. i would be intrested in setting up an owners group and would like to get in touch with as many owners as i can or if anyone knows of such a group please let me know
I am in the same position having paid in full for a one bedroom appartment and furniture pack in Silver Mountain. A members group of all other purchasers is an excellent idea and I wish you luck in organising it.
