ski helmets

spent a very icy week in boro last feb so me and her indoors have bought helmets{aldi £20 each great fit and value for money] we have booked our ski packages with balkan do they rent out helmets and have they updated their equipment as theres 8 of us going this year

usually the ski hire dept hire out the helmets, but would you want to wear a helmet that someone else has perspired in. Anyway good ski shops around so try there for hire also. When you heading out ?

are helmets compulsory for first timers, never really considered them before

In my mind they should be, it only takes one fall and the damage is done. It's not the speed fall that gets you, it's the simple fall over from a standing position that usually does the damage. So if you are thinking about it " JUST DO-IT-MAN"

I'm wearing a helmet this year - for the first time. Seen to many mishaps and its so easy to bump your head. Its not about the speed that you are doing - you can slip and fall from a standing position. An out of control skier or boarder (not that boarders are ever 'in' control are they?) could also easily take you out.

Oh - and my kids have always worn helmets as it is compulsory in ski schools in many Alpine resorts.
But if I had brain damage it would be far harder for my kids to care for me than the other way round.

its got to be a must for the kids and a very good idea for the rest of us.

Helmets can be hired. Now stop worrying and continue the Bulgarianski Snow Dance.

Oh and you all need passports.

i have never danced so much in my life roll on sat 15.55 from bristol assuming we will be in pamps around 02.00
