re: ski hire help

I don't know first hand as I snowboard with own gear but talking to friends in Bansko last week, people said the modern looking ski shop 20m down the road from the gondola, town side of Happy End bar, it got good reviews hire gear wise, some said better than the ski/boot quality than under the gondola. For lessons Ulen ski school under the gondola seem pretty good, they have an office there and meet up on the slope at 10am, we joined a small group for intermediate/advance snowboarding and ...

Have a fab holiday, we did. Booze

re: ski hire help

It seemed fairly quiet last week, the ski hire rush hour is every sunday morning 8.30 to 10am. If you are all beginners maybe there would be a package available in the ski shop, I am sure there is some sort of deal to be had at the gondola hire shop with Ulen but well worth asking for the whole package including ski pass in the modern ski shop.

Don't worry despite what some people say about Bulgaria they are pretty organised and everyone seems to have a good time learning.

re: ski hire help

there was deal advertised at the gondla for lift pass, ski and boot hire plus lessons, cant remember the price but they were doing a discount if you bought them all there togeather. staying at the four leaf clover appartments you would have thought your luck would improve Razz

Carla - I think there is some deal that if you get your ski hire from there then it is 20% off lessons or other kit or something like that. Steve C (the man in the know - and in the resort!!) is out there - will read this post soon I am sure and will prob give you the best advice. Either way, do not worry, there are lots of ski shops other than the ULEN hire (at base of gondola) and you WILL be fine.

Just got back by the way - nice new snow awaits you me thinks!!!

Have a great ...
