re: ski holiday prices

Thank you Matt thats what I was saying, I have found that a chalet is france for two people is comparable to Bansko. If people can find it cheaper well done, but I have looked into doing it as a package and privately and it is still coming out at more than I am willing to pay to go to Bansko.

As for the transfers I was going on what I paid last year, If the prices are now less then yes that would make a slight difference and no I am not getting a private transfer in France but as it ...

No I am not trying to make Bansko sound more expensive than it is. I have had some very good cheap holidays to Bansko and find the more of you going the cheaper it becomes.

re: ski holiday prices

At the end of the day, you pay what you are willing to pay for whatever you want to get out of your holiday. I have to be honest in that it's not about how cheap I can get something...I'm willing to pay what I've paid for what's included.

I can't comment on the price of food and drink in BG recently, as it's been two years since we were there. You don't have to pay out of the odds in the Alps if you're sensible. But, from memory, I was quite shocked at how much a quick bite to eat at ...

But, from memory, I was quite shocked at how much a quick bite to eat at lunchtime in Borovets cost the last time we were there - and not the best quality of food. If it costs me a few quid more, but the food is of decent standard, so be it.

re: ski holiday prices

I really I am silly I didnt mean to thank Matt, It was Jocrad who I was thanking for his comments about the comparison in price as I totally agree. Maybe if your after night life and drinking all night BG is the best place to be, if you want a quieter night and are happy with a meal and few drinks chalet board works out comparable.

re: ski holiday prices

Hi Sam, thanks for the comments. I'm on holiday to ski, yes a few drinks at the end of the day are good, but we're not into late nights - much prefer early mornings on the snow! Incidentally, did you get anything booked? Neilson are advertising discounts at the moment.

re: ski holiday prices

No havent booked yet, because of my husbands job he is on stand by this means we cant book until about two weeks before we go. Was just pricing up best options and the chalet board in france seems to be the most favourable. having to wait could mean we get a better deal but from past experience it dosnt always work that way.

re: ski holiday prices

We booked at the end of Jan last year to go beginning of March - we had to wait for various reasons. Prices weren't too bad from memory, think it was the availability if you wanted a particular resort that was most restrictive. Hope you get sorted eventually!

re: ski holiday prices

if booking just 2 weeks in advance id leave it till march,, conditions in march the last 2 years have been amazing yet low tourist numbers meaning easy to book last minute
