re: ski holiday prices

Ive got 19/2-27/2/2011 booked off however in early Aug I found BA prices to be £230 each rtn which I thought a very fair price & wish I had booked at the time. Sadly loss of internet connection for a few weeks and now the total price is nearer £900....

We have free accomodation there & it also has to be that week. (Teacher) & Berkshire.

So what options do we have?
Ive looked at Austria and they are min £1500, Three Valleys £1800+

Really really want a ski holiday and thats the only time we can do it. Options please. We would love Bansko however if the total cost is less elsewhere then that is where we will go.

I believe that during that week its the Ladies Super G in Bansko which certainly pushes up the price.

Help Please.
Note we also have many Tesco Clubcard vouchers which can be converted into Virgin Ski Holiday vouchers @4x their value so possibly might be an option.

re: ski holiday prices

I have a friend whos a teacher she tends to wait until a week or two before the half term, she has had some really good deals, but has also had times when she has chose not to go. if you dont mind where you go could be worth the risk.

re: ski holiday prices

For a full 8 nights 19/2 flights & accomodation and decent accomodation whats the bare minimum I'd be looking at cost wise for a couple.

re: ski holiday prices

Checked Lufthansa on those days they are indirect flights... so rather than 3hr flights they are upwards of 5hrs most 6-8hrs.... + tfr...

Normally we fly out on the 8am Sat BA flight and are in Bansko for 4-5pm local time. Still a long day - i.e. leave the house at 5.15am arrive at resort UK time 10hrs later.

re: ski holiday prices

Hi Gareth

Google Skyscanner, search engine for flights. You can specify direct only, or if you leave it showing the indirect flights too, it'll give you total journey times, handy if you want to try to avoid any flights with long connection times, used it before and found it very useful.
