ski instructor tip survey

Can anyone give me an idea of whether Bulgarian ski instructors expect a tip in £ sterling at the end of a week's skiing and if so what do most Brits give? thanks. Exclamation

re: ski instructor tip survey

I gave a set of walkie talkies to my last one 'cos she was good. The one before was a waste of time and got a handshake and a goodbye after a couple of days trawling through his mates restaurants up to 5 times a day .

The first one ever was so fantastic I gave her a big sloppy kiss and 30 Leva.

It depends on how you feel.

First instructor got 50 Lev - he was fantastic - took me for private ski lessons every day for an hour before the rest of the class...

Second one - crap - got a 20 lev tip because I did ski with the group most of the week

Third time - 25 lev
Fourth time - 30 lev

50 Squids sterling for a family of 4 we gave 2 yrs running to the same instructor & money well spent.

Take a gamble & tip after the first day, best money that I have parted with on any holiday.
