We all tipped our instucter 10 lev each and he was more than happy with this. it really depends on how big the group is, this meant that he got £40.00 for the week wich is quite a lot when you think about it x that by the lengh of the ski season and you are talking a whole load of tips. We gave ours to the instructor on the ski evening in an envelope discreatly so not to embaress him and he was very happy

I think everyone should be allowed to give what they like, regardless of what the rest of the group are giving - its a personel thing - yes put it all in one envelope but dont let others in your group put you off giving what you think is a fair amount for what your ski instrutor taught you and how safe he made it for you and obviously how much fun he made it.re: ski instructor tip survey
We gave our ten year old money to give to her instructor on the last day.However we later found out from one of the adults in her ski class that the instructor had remnded everyone to bring his tip along to the presentation evening for him.
Had I'd known he was asking for a tip, I'm not sure he would've got one!
Pity really because I've never had any problem tipping an instructor, knowing the kind of money they actually earn and the good job they've always done.

Most people in our group gave 25 lev each with the exception of a few people who are tight with their money. Our instructor was only 21 and he was in college and after all he doesn't earn that much by teaching us. 25 lev in not a huge amount to us considering its cheap in Bulgaria. I know another group who gave their instructor 80 pound sterling.re: ski instructor tip survey
we give r instructor 50 levs cos she was brilliant!
