Agree with that entirely Steve. When people come on here asking for recommendations, it's almost impossible to reply to them without giving some form of advertising of a service or of a facility. Whether that is transfers, instructors, hotels, restaurants, or whatever it still forms some level of advertising. In the 12 years now that I have been looking after this board there are only 2 kinds of advertising that I delete. One is property sales and rentals and the others are posts from people ...
Agree with that entirely Steve. When people come on here asking for recommendations, it's almost impossible to reply to them without giving some form of advertising of a service or of a facility. Whether that is transfers, instructors, hotels, restaurants, or whatever it still forms some level of advertising. One is property sales and rentals and the others are posts from people who solely come onto this site for financial gain.
You have been a regular on here for many many years now and that started long before you moved to Bulgaria. You and Wendy have helped thousands over the years whether that be snow conditions, general advice or getting people safely to and from their destinations and I am bitterly disappointed that someone has deemed it necessary to delete one of your posings. As far as I am aware the only people who currently have access to delete posts are me, Arron, Kas and those at head office in Sofia.
I can't see it being Kas or Arron as they have not be visible on the site for several months now so I can only guess that it was someone from Sofia.
If so, and I hope they read this, they need to know some hard facts that's it's people like you that keep this board alive 365 days a year - not just during the skiing season where people come, get what information they want (which is fine) but then just leave again until next year if they decide to return to Bulgaria.
This board IS FOR ALL PEOPLE - provided they behave and stick to the basic and very few rules. No question is too silly or too bizzare provided it's a genuine question. Board banter is also openly welcomed again provided it is not offensive in any way.
I hope next season is brilliant and profitable for you and Wendy, and I also hope to see hundreds more posts from you both in the future.
And that goes for Footfixer too!

Hi Guys,Been checking the forum about once a week but don't tend to post in the summer as I spend so much time in the Winter trying to give people information, that I try and concentrate on my own work for these few months, not to mention enjoy the sun!! I can say though that it wasn't me and I didn't even see the post....!

Wow ! I really started something here didn't I . Sorry guys I am totally new to Bulgaria and any kind of information is a great help. I have booked flights and hotel after much research on Trip advisor but web sites with transfers and ski hire etc. dries up. I even tried to email the hotel but no luck there.
So as a first timer this begins to make you feel a little concerned that you have done the right thing ?? So this forum is a great comfort to me . I will make good use of your tips and ...

It is a shame that people cannot reccomend people or businesses they have used.
I can understand that the site owners must protect their advertisers, who no doubt have paid or have other connections with the site or its owners.
However they should realise that the site will sooner or later fall apart if no one can see its value, and perhaps a competing site will eventually steal much of the footfall??.
