Hi,i think Borovets would be your best bet, because everything is within walking distance,no ski buses etc and all the bars are together, been on my own quite a few times never had hassle,if you get attention it will probably be from the english and not locals.i would stay in one of the big hotels right in resort as easy to nip to bars and back to hotel,ie:Samokov or Rila,I always stay in the Samokov but there both about the same,Rigs
Sorry ,about your last question,i have always found it friendly with good atmosphere as everybody is out for a hol and good time, hope answers have helped,Rigs
*best place for ski hire, i have my own boots so i just need skis
*lift passes, best prices and place to get them
*shared coach/shuttle transfer. taxi for 1 is quite pricey
a few years ago i looked into skiing here and found a sire with cheap shared transfers... i cant for the life of me find it now
flights with easy jet, hotel is 100 % picked yet, but the festa chamkoria looks nice, but not sure how far out it is and how easy getting back would be late at night or early morning ;-p
Hi,nice hotel, but you might find it a bit far out, about 1.5 km from resort centre, and once you leave the village its pretty dark and can be very slippery, your own choice but i would look at something central, years ago i stayed at a cheap hotel on a last minute hol there, but got fed up being away from everything and ended up paying out my pocket and moved to the Samokov. It depends on what you want, but if you stay central, obviously you can change out of your boots and have a drink and wander ...

Not sure about transfers as i usually just get a cab ,about 90lev each way, transfers are probably cheaper but if you go on your own theres probably not much in it.this year i was on my own and got a cab,but the people i was meeting got transfer through Bobby and Kas who are great. They would be best to advise you on skis and lift pass, where you flying from?
yeah your right, i do want somewhere more central, i want to party as wel as ski. I do like the style of that hotel tho. I need to look into it more. I.ll be flying from manchester, i'm hoping to maybe meet people on here thats flying in to sofia to share taxi. But its pretty quiet on here at the moment. The rila is expensive for single rooms, the breza is cheap but would prefer a hotel with a pool or spa just so i have things to do if it does end up being a lonely holiday ;-p
hotels 4 u is showing 7nts bb at breza 145 and samokov 224 for hb,can,t u find any mates that want to go,to help with costs.Im going out in Jan,not sure when yet,two mates are supposed to be coming but i don't know whether they will actually book!,been waiting for a couple months now and i need to book my flights before they sell out.
The Ela and Moura are both looking cheapish and both central, but the Samokov has a pool, bowling etc.If you book and are on your own let us know and i'll see ...
