My friend told me that all skis have brakes - I want to ski fast so how can I turn them off?re: speed
Mine are controlled remotely from the ski-pole handle. Are not all skis the same?????????????? Look for the red and green buttons!!!!!!!!!!!!re: speed
No no, the red button deploys the miniature parachutes from the back of the skis

I find that if you are prepared to pay 30 lev , the bulgarians will turn a blind eye and take them off for you. Though you will only be allowed to go backwards down black runs , this should not reduce your speed too much.re: speed
I have had my brakes completely removed. I just use boarders to help me stop now!
