re: speed

Is it also true that you can hire hover board from the ski shop, for when the lifts are really busy.... similar to the one on back to the future?

re: speed

No, that's complete garbage. Only the posh resorts in France have those

re: speed

My friend used one of those once and a car behind him narrowly missed him and went into a tractor full of manure, apparently it was even captured on film. He did say you had to practice real hard to control the hover!!

As I understand it, it actually originates from a skateboard not a snowboard as most people imagine.

moguls

In France last year the slopes had bumps on them in the afternoon (moguls?) Overnight they took them away so the slopes were nice and smooth in the morning to get used to skiing again. After lunch the staff had put them back onto the hill.

Do they do this in Bansko and if so can I arrange a tour around the mogul storage facility as it must be rather impressive

re: speed

"...and now we are entering the main production floor, where the base moguls are hand crafted into the moguls you'll actually see on the slope...."

re: speed

I always find it hard to stomp on the brake as the skis end-up catching the clutch, the accelerator and the brake at the same time - try using your knuckles - just lift them when you want to go faster!!
