Jim you are a very funny man.
Of course snow will arrive some time this season in Bulgaria.I guarranty you that 100%.
Take my word.
BG Ski Season is never in December and never in April and now and then during the winter months.
It has been like that for decades and it is going to be in the future. You will get reasonable snow (top to bottom) few weeks in Jan and Feb -the rest is for the gamblers.

Very rarely they gamble and go to resorts with less than 100km of ski runs.BG resorts were excluded until now from this rule.
Unlucky for Bansko wanting miracles to happen-opening ridiculously early. How daft???
Yes x is being a bit harsh however what he is sayong is true, its just you dont want to hear it after paying the money for your holidays.
The ski programmes for Bulgaria have been cut by tour operators for 2 reasons and they are

I have a travel agency and 3 years ago the main tour operators to Bulgaria were all adding extra flights and it didnt sell well as it hapenened to be a very poor season snow wise and that trend has continued as so has the flight cuts.
At the end of the day a flight will only go if people have booked and 90%off people want good snow on holiday .People used to put up with the risk of snow as Bulgaria WAS cheap and a risk they were willing to take but the point is now its a risk nobody has to take as prices are on par for similar holidays to the alps and Italy.
No risk for tour operator with empty flight and losing money.
No risk for you saving hard to ski on grass.
The problem is nobody wants to wake up and realise what is happening as if the snow is like this for a couple more years ill be surprised if any flights are still going from the uk
