sunny beach v pamps

just got back from S Beach and I must say it is nothing like the beautiful mountains it does not come close whatsoever,,,, there is nothing of the bulgarian culture there - give me pamps and the snow anyday.....

however I did meet a load of the ski Instructors from Bansko in S Beach and on looks alone I may need to try Bansko out this year..... Very Happy

def go to bansko lot better ski resort and has more of the culture than pamps as it is a town, we saw a horse drawn carriage delivering wood to the house realy good and the food is fantastic at all the resturants. give it a try

Have to agree with you Gill.

10 years ago SB was much like Pamps and very basic which was so much a big part of its charm.

I'm afraid its lost it completely for me now, which is such a shame as I had some great times there.

Bulgaria will always have a big piece of my heart, but SB is no longer No.1 summer destination for me.

re: sunny beach v pamps

even from last year I saw a big change in Sunny Beach, my friends want me to go back out there in August but to be honest other than seeing them there is little else for me, I would rather see them in the ski resorts....

thinking of extending my New Year trip and booking a week in Bansko for Christmas but will keep an eye on the snow reports before I go ahead and book christmas.

Last Christmas I was in Velingrad and other than no ski-ing there it was beautiful...... I may spend a week ...

hello gill, Pete,
I can only confirm with Val's comment: Albena is nice, calm and quite romantic(!) in my eyes (even when you travel alone hahah)...but I think that Sossopol-area is something to look for too.
Anyway, enjoy the sun now and longing for the first snow
