re: when to go

Hi Freddie,

You will find that four days will go quite quickly. For first timers the lessons are paced really well and you won't find it too tiring over the week. It would probablt be quite difficult to get flights and transfers sorted for the four days. Be good to yourself and the kids - go for the week! Bansko or Pamps - you'll love either. Although I suggested you go to Bansko earlier, having been Pamps, I would not argue with Pete in saying Pamps is fantastic for kids and ...

Hope all this helps!

re: when to go

I agree - a week is needed - time travelling and maybe the first day you'll just want to get to know the place and maybe just ride up on the gondola to get your bearings. You don't have to have lessons everyday - we arrange for 4 days lessons and the first/last day just hanging around.

Feb half term ??? just about the busiest time of the season, and likely the highest flight prices... Bansko will be rammed i can assure you... Last season we took a group over to Borovets in the half term and found it a lot quieter, in fact very quiet (wake up Boro, your getting pricey !!) so that could be a consideration. The new Ryan air flights from Stanstead-Plovdiv would cover Boro as well... Bansko does attract a lot of families, Boro more aimed at the younger crowd (beer and loud ...

The new Ryan air flights from Stanstead-Plovdiv would cover Boro as well... Bansko does attract a lot of families, Boro more aimed at the younger crowd (beer and loud music), still good fun especially if you get friendly in one of the bars thats quieter with kids (Bulgarians love kids, none of this having to leave the bar at 07.00pm)
Borovets is more expensive to eat and drink than Bansko, especially up on the mountain, but likely if you are in ski-school you will be on the Rila slopes, and bars/restaurants pepper the sides of the runs at the bottom and are more reasonable...
You will definately need at least a week and if you can stretch to it get private instruction, the kids will progress an awful lot quicker...

All this is only my opinion and what do i know Confused
