Answer to my own question, calls will cost me 38p/min recieving a call 19p/min and text 29p/msg, thanks for all the advice, think i will get bg simm as suggested.

I'm in Pamps now, just bought 2 Bulgarian sim cards for 8lev each, obviously have 2 unlocked phones, they both come with 100 mins and 100 texts to each other from each sim card. Bargain!!

Just got back and my orange phone didn't work at all in Boro! Check with your provider before you go!!!

Found that my phone only worked if I manually changed the server to M-Tel.
BG Global and another provider would not support T Mobil phone system.

Supermarket next to the White Hart, just found out they also have 5lev to any other number as well on them. works a treat on the mountain!! and in resort. Out for 10 days here, not back till the 4th. Let me know if you want me still to pick you up a couple, it's no problem.

we used our 3 network phone- thought we would have a big bill to come home to but after about 30min call time (christmas week) we had only spent an extra £9 on our bill so didnt think this was two bad!
the two way radio is a great idea, used them for other things, although tree cover can lower the range and there are plenty of trees!!!!!

That would have been great Andy ski, but we are flying on the 7th and I wouldn't want to trust the british postal system to get them here in time, many thanks anyway, shall get them in Borovets, I hope.
