Hire a car you should get one for about £100 or less for a week

Pete,

It takes about 3.5 hours! and thats at the most!!!

I have done it many times as i am greek..

It takes 5 hours from volos and thats 2 hours past salonika....

I have been told this is not possible,

YOu would have to go to the boarder with a cab and walk through the border and get a taxi on the other side.

You could get the train to Blagoevgrad - takes about 4 hours and about 12 euros, if that, only 1 -2 euros to upgarde to 1st. Buses travel frequently between Blad and Sofia and takes 1 hour. Maybe your best option.

Border still closed according to my Bulgarian friend who is losing bookings for next week. Greek holiday next week.
