AM I FAIR IN WHAT I POST?????

Dunno really you tell me.

There have been a few postings lately stating that I can see no wrong in Bulgaria, and I will not accept criticium of the country or the people.

That is not true, if you take the trouble to read ALL my postings dating back 2 years and probably now run into the thousands, you will see that I too find things to complain about, but I stick to the point without getting melodramatic or casting dispersions on the whole of mankind.

That is not true, if you take the trouble to read ALL my postings dating back 2 years and probably now run into the thousands, you will see that I too find things to complain about, but I stick to the point without getting melodramatic or casting dispersions on the whole of mankind.

What is true is that I have visited this country for over a decade now, and have come to know the country better than many who post on here. I feel qualified to encourage what is right, and challenge what I think is wrong, un-factual, misleading or downright untrue.

For those who have bad experiences on their first visit, I feel very sorry for them. But I try to see things from both sides and to explain that what they have experienced is NOT the norm for the country they have visited or the people that live there.

For a poster to make such sweeping comments such as 'Bansko is run by gangsters' is too stupid for words. And yet people who are yet to embark on their holidays have the fear of God put into them by such rediculous comments.

It does nothing to enhance other peoples enjoyment in looking forward to their holidays, nor is it a true reflection of the people of Bulgaria.

Sure, if a bad experience needs to be told, then tell it, but do not tar the whole population with these insults. Try visiting St. Pauls in Bristol for a night. I guarantee you will not enjoy the experience, but does that mean that all Bristolians are not nice people, of course not.

90% of those people who have returned this year have had a wonderful time. How many people from abroad will return from England having been robbed, mugged, insulted, ignored, and ripped off? THOUSANDS!!!!!!

So, yes I will continue to defend what I think is a jewel in the crown of Europe. A nation of genuine people who have never failed to impress me with their friendship and honesty.

Until they do otherwise, I will continue to praise their hospitality, and defend their corner.

I find you a very fair guy, and to see comments like that before "embarking" on a trip to Bansko I find rather very amuzing and really shows that some people need more focus.
I understand that bad experiences can produce really emotive feelings but to say something that strong is fairly harsh.

People must ensure that they realise that Bulgaria is different to the UK, and has qualities and negatives.

I truly believe that we will have a great time, and will return again. I have family that go year after year at half-term to Borovets, and believe me they really are not the type that if they got sub-standard they would keep going again and again.

Comments from them, great value, great skiing, great food, the people are warm generally... but more so the way they are with children

Pity they will be spoiling things in 2007 when they join the EU, because prices will need to go up.
