Hi can any one please advise on ski boots.
I am a beginner with trouble feet so have been advised to get my own boots. Is it advisable to purchase before I travel or will I get a good pair for less in Borovets.
Thanks
If you have problem feet I would suggest going and buying some in the UK from somewhere that can do all the proper fitting and adjustments as boots are the one thing that can ruin your holiday. you will pay more but it will be worth it. If you post what area you are from i am sure someone will quickly advise you of a local reputable shop.

If you are considering buying snowboard equipment then try bornextreme in Nuneaton. 20% off everything until 27th November. Cant find any better deals anywhere.
I've just purchased new boots from the Ski Shop at Pembrey Country Park, Llanelli. Very good service it took 2 hours to get the correct boots then heat molded to my feet. Great value for money if you are intending to continue skiing for a long time.
There is also a very big ski shop in Penarth I think it's above a big garage on a busy junction, also a ski shop in Cowbridge behind the town hall but you might pay Cowbridge prices there.

Hello dbut good snow in Panorama.
Knew you would be on once the welsh theme surfaced.Yeah the snow looks excellent in panorama.Have you seen the pictures of the race team training. Have some freinds going out to canada while we are in Borovets so should get to know what its like ready for when we go.

Definately get some boots of your own if problem feet... Make sure you go to a recommended place as I got some boots that fit all the criteria last season but they crippled me on hol. The prob had been noticed before and I went back to the shop but it still wasn't sorted. Almost ruined my Holiday.
Have sorted now though (bought some new ones from Ellis Brigham) and the original shop in question gave me a voucher to the value of the old boots after accepting liability (without much of a ...

Good luck on your hunt, hope you enjoy many years skiing
I bought ski boots last year (Italian Technica Attivo boots), with heat moulded insoles and even though I am told by the supplier that they are just fine for me and a perfect fit, I really do not find them particularly comfortable though cannot really say why. They just don't feel 'right' somehow.
The other week I came across a pair of quaintly-named 'rear-entry' boots, quite battered, but in my size in a charity shop for £4.99. I tried them on and it was like slipping into my slippers ...

The other week I came across a pair of quaintly-named 'rear-entry' boots, quite battered, but in my size in a charity shop for £4.99. I tried them on and it was like slipping into my slippers at home so I bought them! I've put in my expensive made-just-for-me insoles and they are fabulous! Who cares if they are battered and tatty and I don't look so cool? They feel 'right'.
My new boots happen to be the right size for my daughter and she says they feel good to her (around the house anyway) so I just need to get her the heated insoles and hopefully we are all set.
To add to the above, comfort is everything. Get sorted before you leave home so you can have any problems fixed, and go to a big dealer/store with a good reputation even if it means travelling some distance.
Another option would be Mike Davies Leisure...just on the edge on the Gower in Swansea. As mentioned before Bret at Pembrey will sort you out as well.
My wife ended up trying on 7 ot 8 different boots before getting the right feel...and they were very understanding and didn't feel under pressure at all.
