Morning All,

Have a serious 'rakia head' this morning, so apologies if I make loads of spelling mistakes...!!

Conditions are pretty much the same as yesterday but slightly worse and a lot icier.
Gondola is open but only to ski down to the Yastrebets side (Markudjik slopes are all closed including nursery). I know you were told yesterday by others that Gondola was only open for walkers but that wasn't the case and was never 'blocked off' with a closed sign... Once again it is open for skiiers BUT it is really really poor conditions, dangerous and lots of rocks / grass patches. it is not recommended but some ski schools are still taking classes down - they are warning their classes but some of the advanced (or indeed 'crazy') still want to give it a go even though the instructors don't! Quite a few individuals are still giving it a go.

Snow on Yastrebets 2 and 3 is still very good, but a lot icier this morning as is everywhere....

Rila side - 4 man chair is again shut (as all snow melted). 2 x drags are open but the drag next to Yanakiev is closed again. Sitnyakovo Express is open again, but only for walkers.
Although it is colder today , Snow Cannons are not currently on either on Rila or yastrebets side. I'm going up to Boro in a bit to see if we can get some bar owners to start offering discounts to everyone on this site (every little helps!!!!!) and also to see if we can get a couple of them to agree to playing the WII next week if there is no snow - Black tiger (Kareoke Bar) would be great for this at it's got screens and microphone and is really nice inside now it's been refurbished.
I will try and get proper temperatures as the one everyone quotes on here is from outside the rila but it's not accurate and often says it's hotter than it is.

But.....all the local television stations are showing snow for saturday and sunday, so hopefully this will come to fruition and i can finally use my season pass!

p.s. headache is getting worse not better, so will start drinking ASAP!

Once again, thanks to Kas for all she is doing, a few shots of Rakia this morning and you should be back to normal! Snow Forecasts do say some snow but not sure if it's enough to make a change to conditions, but it does seem to forecast a lot colder though which is something! Really looking forward to coming , can't wait to see the new look Black Tiger as well, and let's see all of us out on the 9th make the week a really great holiday in spite of the conditions. Pyjama skiing sounds fun Deb (I'm presuming that you are wearing your gear under the pyjamas!) , be nice if we could get the whole resort to wear pjs for the day - ?!

Guys...quick update....gondola is now shut, which is due to wind - it's even really windy down in the resort. In a way it's a good thing though as with the people trying to ski down from the top it's amazing (and lucky) there haven't been lots of serious accidents...
Queue for shuttles to yastrebets is about 200 deep (although it's moving pretty quickly) so some people are just taking taxi's / horse and cart instead...

Nothing more to report apart from going to take Caz's advice and start on the rakia soon as not sure how else to get rid of the headache!!!
