''France and dissapontment'' are two not compatible things.
unless you dont know what you are talking about and havnt got a clue,or unless you are an alcohol lover.
Tim, thats for you mate:

the problem is that they are so much less that the opposites and is becoming criminal not to start mentioning them .
At the end of the day if negatives get noticed maybe sometimes in the distant future something somewhere will change for the better.
look at it that way and you will sleep better.
Involving the media I think is the best and only way somebody to take notice of all the negatives piling all the time from all directions.
It is not only this forum 'Boro'girl where BG reality gets the thumbs down. All of BG media is full with them.
Dont think that you are alone in this .
But it is very hard to make a change because nobody cares ,even up high, about what tourists are saying.
It is all to do with quick money and getaways to better places. The words:''Long term'' dont exist.
Only found one thing you have ever said that sounded close to something positive and that was in the middle of a barrage.
And for your information, I went along to Malyovitsa last Friday morning. Tricky getting there as last part of road was thick snow. It was beautiful, thick snow cover, piste basher out working and very few people there. Even the trees were covered in snow and the snow was white even through my rose tinted sun glasses. But no doubt I am wrong for saying that I loved ...

I very much doubt if Borogirl has ever skied anywhere but in Bulgaria.
As to the price increases, they have nothing to do with the EU, it is just that Bulgarians want to get rich in a day...
As to construction, what do you expect with so much corruption over there? You may know this already but the EU has recently stopped funding to Bulgaria on all three pre-accession programmes (ISPA, SAPARD and PHARE). As a result, there will be some time before we all see new roads, etc. But does ...

I think if you all read the headline news in yesterdays edition of www.novinite.com ( headlines)
Bulgaria Civic Organization Raises Alarm over Construction in Rila Mountains. you will see noboby has respect for Rules and Regulations.
Actually I have skied in Italy, Austria, France and New Zealand. But as a mother, just find Boro more family friendly and easier to actually get to ski myself.
My first experience on snow was to be taken straight up an Italian mountain on the longest drag lift I have ever seen, which didn't stop if anyone fell. Having hung on for dear life, I was then told the baby was crying in kindergarten and to go straight back down this mountain to him. Mothering instincts kicked in and I hurtled ...

My first experience on snow was to be taken straight up an Italian mountain on the longest drag lift I have ever seen, which didn't stop if anyone fell. Having hung on for dear life, I was then told the baby was crying in kindergarten and to go straight back down this mountain to him. Mothering instincts kicked in and I hurtled down, yelling "out the way" all the way down, to find out that I couldn't do a snow plough stop!
I have always had babies and children to deal with in a skiing environment, so I do see it more from a mother's point of view. I found it so much hassle to lug children on and off buses to get to slopes, then to be left all day on my own whilst others (including grandmother) turn into skiing fiends and head for the nearest lift not to be seen again until the sun starts to set. At least in Boro, we meet up regularly and can be in contact with walkie talkies.
Now they are older, I can happily ski, knowing we can find one another easily. The advanced skiers in my family still find new areas, usually off piste, to try and enjoy.
If you want a family friendly skiing holiday rather than a skiing safari, then I do recommend Boro - warts and all
But no doubt I will be shouted down for having my own (Mothering) views
Borosomething,
so you have been into other ski resorts.nice one.
Gongrats.
the problem is that this(ski experience) was probably a very long time ago and is kind of fogged out in your memory-so you need another fresh one in the Alps.
as for what is positive and negatives let the majority decide not only you.
we all know your name is set on Borovets like Titanicgirl .

Did you really find Boro better to actually ski yourself as a parent(after 1-2 hours wait at the gondola perhaps and then again ah hour to go down to base?)where did you plant the kids in this ski friendly place. Please let us know.
As for Maliovitsa's issue you obviously remember my comment very well and want to throw the ball at me.
Maliovitsa is a 'Ski Place' with 5km of runs give or take few hundred metters with old rusty 2 drags -one of them very slow -doesnt matter with or without snow. 5km no more, dear.
Family place Borovets?
Roads r mess,
dangerous to even cross any street
dirty smelly icy.
noisy day and night-hope your children are tough and sleeping deep.
as for the skiing-well better not even starting in that direction-well documented recently not ffom others.
is that what you can offer the average family?
No way.
Dont protect this region blindly and at any cost Please Boroperson because by doing so it, looks from outside very funny and its like you're trying too hard to convince everybody that the black is white and opposite.
As for tim the big tiger
something is missing in your accusations about France.-the truth.
So you are THE MAN which BANNES people from this site.
Correct?
Then You must be very important person indeed tiger with a small t.
Mikey - lets drop the personal insults please. And that goes to others who are being less than friendly towards other posters.
Tiger does not have the ability to ban anyone from here. That is down to Tanjette, Daniel Snell and myself plus the website staff in Sofia. Nobody else.
Italy was my first experience of the Alps, I never said it was the last.
I don't "protect blindly" but try and give useful, practical advice for people to get the best out of their holiday, which is more than you do, apart from saying don't come to BG.
