Had a great day skiing, just about ringer in the hot tub. Temperatures when I checked ranged from -5 to -7 degrees. Everyone seems happy and enjoying the holiday, unfortunately gondola is only going up half way due to strong winds. But hope fully it's no real problem!Mattski

Final update for the day, although I am sure others will add their own ski updates later.
Borovets resort - about 10 - 15cm of snow now, although it has stopped snowing. the cannons are still working on the rila runs as it's very cold.
Sitnyakovo Express - now closer to 20cm of snow but still not great conditions due to rocks etc.
No piste bashers on the Rila side at all today - which the instructors think is positive??!
Gondola still open, with just nursery run at the ...

Yastrebets - gondola down to 2 and 3 is pretty poor, rocks etc but Yastrebets 2 and 3 great conditions BUT snow cannons are not working - they are on but just blowing water as it's slightly warmer up there than it is down in Boro???!!!!!!
It has stopped snowing in Boro / Samokov now, but there are apparently 'snow clouds' (how do people know this stuff????!!!) and it is expected to start again later - although as always, when it comes to predicting snow, don't hold me to it!! I'm literally just taking info from a phone call and typing it up!
We're having a night at home tonight (have to take down xmas tree!) so I am sure someone on holiday in the resort will update you when (notice the positive tone!!) it starts snowing again!!

And yes, Mattski is right, the gondola is now only going half way, but is working to let people down from the nursery. Trying to keep this up-to date is a nightmare!

They changed the flight time from Bristol Kas so we don't get there till well after midnight also, otherwise would love to. If you are up any other night we could do it, or happy to do down to Samokov for a change. Wouldn't dream of letting you buy a beer! I won't be online whilst on holidays but will have my mobile - email [email protected] and I'll give it out. Saraj - look for two lovely ladies - with three teenage boys in tow - I'm the one with red hair and a glass in my hand! ...

Caz,What time is the flight from Bristol now? Are you meant to be on the 15.55 flight?

Flights were changed some time ago David - previously we got in to Boro around 7pm but now its later- but now I can't remember what time the flight is and tickets are at home. At least the later flight going home means an extra day in the ...snow

hey get there on sat flights from uk are at 3pm, so what time do you think would get there, would be good to all meet up, especially with Kas, and the fab snow reports, never been before but looking forward to it.

depends who you fly with and where you land (old or new part of airport ) , but transfer is not too long an hour and a half from airport and you're there. Am up for meeting. I think Inghams do a free tequila in mamacitas on the Sunday ?? Hope you like it as much as I do - I can't fault the place - well, maybe a little more snow would be nice

Hi Guys, why don;t we all meet up on the sunday for a quick beer?? Last time we arranged to meet up with people who didn;t get to the resort until 12ish, we'd had a few too many by the time tey got there - there was no snow then, so nothing else to do!!What about Black Tiger on the Sunday night? Been refurbished and is great inside? or any other suggestions?

hi Caz that would be good, my friend who I am going with has been 2 years in a row and loves it, we are flying from gatwick at 3pm not sure which part of airport, going to start to pack tomorrow, but will probably wear heavy things on plan, see you on Sunday have a safe trip
