p.s to CAS & DAVID: Keep an eye out for me to on Sat at Bristol (5ft 2, blond short hair, purple north face ski jacket with my 6ft 2 boyfriend in tow).See you Sat, now lets see what tonight brings in the UK, Swindon forecast is now over a foot of snow, only 1" so far...

Helpful as ever Kas, thanks for directions. I'm sure I will have no problem on the way to the bar finding it (I knew it was going to be right in front of me if I asked the question!!), not so sure on the way back to the hotel
Looking forward to it too, see you all in 5 sleeps (4 sleeps to hols).

Caz you have brough a big smile to my face reading your reports today, a group of 8 are flying (hopefully) to boro on saturday from Birmingham. is a real bummer when it is snowing like mad here at home and knowing the snow there has been poor, so fingers crossed folks and we might get some skiing in after all. by the way.... we are staying at the Yanakiev, any idea if the slope is open outside that hotel. thanks and one again "your a star"

Just to add my own words of thanks for keeping us updated with sensible information. It's so good to hear Boro is turning white again.
With the UK having tons of the white stuff falling on it, it was ironic to see poor old Boro not getting it's fair share.
We are a family of 4 heading out to Boro from Bristol on 30th Jan. The kids (8&5) are in 'Snow Club', Mrs W has beginners lessons for the week booked (though she has had lessons in Manchester, Hemel, and MKeynes - on her ...

I've been looking at my printed off piste map every day for the last 4 months, looking forward to the trip, so it's been a real shame to see the lack of snow.
So cheers again, for the valuable info Kas, and if I can join that extremely long queue of people waiting to buy you a beer, I would consider it a pleasure.

HI Debs,Yes, today for the first time in over a week the rotata - next to Yanakiev is open. As I said, we're not in Boro tonight, but if it carries on snowing, you will have no probs.

word of warning folks...temperatures are going to be well above freezing until after next weekend so there will be a lot of melting going on.

not according to snow forecast.....too late to worry now anyway, those of us going out on the 9th will make the best of it whatever the conditions are ...but snow would be good!!!!Caz
