When you pay a lot less money for a skiing holiday then you get what you pay for.
Personnaly Les, I came back from Bulgaria on the same day of you, I was in a party of 5 males and I thought the Hotel Samakov was just about right. The rooms weren`t amazing, but I just thought that was funny and all part of the holiday. Especially as the bath moves whilst in there, try that when you are rowdy and drunk trying to get a shower....

A holiday is a holiday. you got there, your hotel was built, your ski resort was ready to go. Exactly what is the problem.....
Also the food was not exactly the best in the world, but it was varied, plenty of it and I am not 2 stone heavier thanks to the hotel Samokov and 5 course of food every day and night.
I manage to go out most nights and drink loads with my ski school and friends for about ten quid.......
We stayed at the Samakov last week and as you will see from my report of 20/02/05 that we had a fabulous time, food was always hot and good selection.
Didn't see any dog poo either!
And my team won the Carling Cup today!
Gazza I think you need to be careful what you say to poor Les as I imagine it must have been you and your mates who were the "heavy beer drinkers" keeping the "Princess and the Pea" awake
Sorry to hear you had such a miserable time.
It is always unfortunate when a holiday doesn't live up to your expectations as we go on holiday to have a good time.

Well Done to your team Fred!!

Did your wife not get a more comfortable bed when you moved rooms or were all the beds in the Samokov lumpy?
Do you not partake of a little fun when on holiday?
shame about freds team winning the carling cup when they were deff no 2 team on the day , and i am a not a chelsea or liverpool fan.
as for les , i think he talking out of his recharge socket !
I went to the samokov and i loved it , theres nothing wrong with the samokov les , get a life

Good point, well made, but I can assure poor Les that it wasn`t us that made the noise, I was there for plenty of skiing, plenty of drinking, plenty of eating and plenty of sleeping..
I just used the drunken, rowdy senario to show that people go on holiday for a good time and plenty of fun, and the baths in the Samakov are just hilarious, me and my mates found it funny that they weren`t attached to the walls and swayed like you were on the titanic.....

Dont be afraid to have a bit of fun Les and after all a 4 * in Bulgaria is probably a 2 * in UK, and to stay in the same hotel in London would probably be about 100 quid a night.
If by any chance we did keep anyone up when coming home drunk, I do apologise, it wasn`t on purpose, its hard to find you bed when you are drunk, just been chased by 5 Mafia Bulgarians and keep banging into things when its dark.
Hope you enjoy your trip next year Les wherever you go. But give Bulgaria a chance, it ain`t the best place, its developing and will get better when its fully in the EU and its well worth the money you pay.
Pleased theres a few others sticking up for bulgaria, he is more than happy to plough £300,000 into "an investment" there by the way, knowing he will triple his return in 10 years time!. Must have spent all his dosh (wish that was my spare cash!), so he had to go to a less expensive holiday this winter!
