ANYWHERE in the world I've been, from Las Vegas to Hong Kong, there has been a charge for keeping your room on late. I think "ripped off" is very harsh.

Folk trying to sell you stuff is commonplace around the world, from Egypt to Sri Lanka I've had touts pushing their wares and services at me. In all bar one isolated instance, a friendly "no, thanks" works.

We skied Borovets for the first time last year, having transferred from Pamps, and thoroughly enjoyed it, AND we return on Sunday week.

Hi, like Sancho_p we transferred from Pamp's last year in search of more reliable snow, hope there's a large dump soon. We (14 of us) are out a week on Sunday for half-term and agree whole heartly, you get what you pay for and Borovets is no different from anywhere else when it comes to it, my only cripe is the gondola wait in the morning but hey ho. Also who can blame the locals for trying to make something out of what is a realatively short season, by any standards the food and drink is cheaper than at home, holidays are what you make them. We found last year that the touts were friendly and if you are polite they are polite. If you want to be really harrassed go anywhere there are time-share sales people around, they really do not understand the words no thank you.
