My suggestion is to not go anywhere near this place.
The runs and skiing are poor, you are bothered by touts all the time and the hotel Samokov ripped us off on the last day. We asked to keep our rooms for a few hours after check out, they agreed but tried to charge 30 levs per room as we left. When we refused to pay they threatened to call the police.
Cheap..and as the saying goes..you get what you pay for!
i've stayed in many hotel, both in england and in europe and i've never known a hotel NOT to charge you for a late check out. and at 30lev = about £15 i wouldnt grumble at all.
i've never been to bulgaria, i've read both good and bad reports on here, hotels are cheap, what the hell do you expect? i know i'm going certainly with a open mind, and i'm sure what ever happens, for the £200 i've spent, as long as my room is clean and warm, i dont care!!!!
and the skiing.... well ...
